Personal Finance Dream Team

In my opinion this video below is the best episode of Millionaire Inside simply because the producers managed to wrangle some of the best entrepreneurs and personal finance authors around. Each guest speaker speaks about their background, personal story, and means for inspiration behind their immense wealth and success. Featured speakers:

-Keith Ferrazzi (author of personal favorite NEVER EAT ALONE) – very interesting to hear him speak as there are not many videos featuring Ferrazzi. He details the importance of networking and seeking mentors.

-Robert Kiyosaki (author of RICH DAD POOR DAD) – Once again Kiyosaki never disappoints.

-Larry Winget (The Pitbull of Personal Development) Whoa! Check out that shirt. Pretty hilarious and eccentric personal finance author, claims to have read 4,000 books.

-Dr. Laura Morgan Roberts of Harvard Business School – speaks about creating value and habits of the extraordinary.

All agree the path to wealth is more about the WHY and less about the HOW.

May I have another helping of dividends?

The below link has a huge list with some of the highest dividend yielding quality stocks. This is a perfect tool for all the cash flow kings out there seeking these kinds of investments. The Person behind Oliver Peoples: Larry Leight

Below is a great brief interview of Larry Leight as he describes the beginnings of upscale eye wear brand Oliver Peoples. Larry basically started as an apprentice, networking and learning the intricate design components that piece together metal eye wear. As a salesman for retailers, he eventually knew what sold to customers and what didn’t. So after being continually frustrated by seeing designers creating models he knew would not sell, he decided to branch out. Most importantly, Leight explains why his brand, in a very competitive market, continued to spread and maintain growth.

TAPOUT Forbes Profile: Tapping into Wealth

Below is an outstanding video on the behind the scenes rise of MMA apparel brand TAPOUT. Co-founder Dan Caldwell is interviewed and details the beginnings of the company and the various problems he faced, like credit card companies halting expansion once large amounts of orders began rolling in. Not having a business model at the time, Dan sought the help of music Mogul Marc Kreiner who actually co-signed with his own money to get the credit card companies off their back. With the help of the reality TV show The Ultimate Fighter boosting the popularity of MMA, Tapout reaped the benefits of staying loyal to this previously unknown sport. The company is now represented by talent agency CAA, has 160 employees and generates over $200 million in sales .

Buffettize your Portfolio

Thanks to the recession, one of the best investments I have made to date was buying GE stock at $8 a share, simply because I knew that Warren Buffett had bought 4 billion dollars worth of stock at approximately $12 a share. Always interested in seeking opportunities like this I was pleasantly surprised to witness this article in the link below in Smart Money. It lists some Blue Chips that are still at reasonable prices, and which are lower than when Buffett bought them. Definitely worth taking a look to all my value investors out there!
